Josh Kroenke's latest admission gives Arsenal green light to make January signing

Following a recent interview with Josh Kroenke Arsenal have been linked with a big January signing.

Josh Kroenke has recenlty given a rare interview with Sky Sports and assured fans that he is on the same page as they are at the club. His comments have led to reported links with a potential new signing, that could arrive as early as January.

In a rare interview with the media, Arsenal shareholder Josh Kroenke has given fans hope following a number of high profile incidents, after he admitted that "he wants Arsenal to be great".

The American billionaire is classed as the director at the club but now reportedly makes key decisions in consultation with non-executive director Tim Lewis, which could lead to a new signing following fresh reports.

Kroenke spoke about the importance of their relationship with the fans and getting to understand what they want, and the American owners could wrap up the ultimate apology with a new high-profile signing.

Following the interview, fresh links have emerged that Arsenal could sign a new star as soon as January.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal have reached an initial agreement with Fiorentina over the potential signing of Dusan Vlahovic, and the Gunners would be willing to meet the Italian sides asking price of £68million, with the inclusion of bonuses.

This agreement could see Arsenal sign the player as early as January as they eye a long-term replacement for both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal face the prospect of losing both Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah next summer as both stars have entered the final year of their contract at The Emirates, leaving Aubameyang as the only other centre-forward option.

Vlahovic has attracted a lot of interest around Europe, and was even linked with Tottenham this summer, as well as the Gunners, but remained at Fiorentina.
