Gary Neville sends furious message to Man Utd's CEO of media

Manchester United legend Gary Neville is unhappy with his old side following their defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has taken aim at the club’s CEO of media in the wake of their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Eric Bailly’s own goal and Bernardo Silva’s strike gave Pep Guardiola’s team all three points. And the Red Devils are now back to being in crisis as a result.

United went into the match against City on a high after recent positive results against Atalanta and Tottenham.

But they were comprehensively outplayed by their fierce rivals on Saturday, losing 2-0 on another chastening afternoon.

In the aftermath of the contest, Neville criticised United for the way they performed the day.

And, now, he’s also taken to Twitter to vent his fury at the club’s CEO of media, Phil Lynch.

When United lose, players often tweet - but it’s not normally them, instead being an agent or representative.

And Neville has clearly had enough of footballers saying the same old things on social media on accounts they don’t actually run.

“Creating Robots on and off the pitch! Get the f@@k away from them,” he tweeted.

“It’s a football club. He makes controlling fans sound like he’s trying to win a general election!”

After the game against City, Neville admitted that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in trouble amid the club’s worsening results.

"I don't think there's any chance they'll make a decision during this season unless it gets so bad, but it’s getting to that stage where it’s so bad," Neville said.

"Ole is under massive pressure and they have no courage. I know the Liverpool game stands out because it was 5-0 but that was 5-0 in everything but the scoreline.

"(Today) they looked frightened to death in and out of possession as if they were crumpled into a little ball waiting to get beat.
